Spec note: dust, diesel tracking, generator vibration, price-sensitive
Tana mining reps (Ambatovy, ilmenite traders, junior explorers) fit 150–400 sqm offices on a camp budget but need floors that survive red laterite dust and boot traffic.
Spec
- Open plan: SPC 5.5 mm 0.5 mm wear — rigid enough over rough screed, no swell.
- Sample room / core logging: PVC sheet 2.0 mm welded, hose-down weekly.
- Guest cottage: LVT 2.0 mm cheapest dry-back, 3.9–6.5 USD/sqm.
- Stair nosing: factory-matched LVT stair tread or PVC nosing extrusion.
Ask for abrasion ≥ 15,000 cycles (EN 660-2) or Taber ≥ 5,000 — mining boots kill 0.2 mm wear layer in 8 months. Tefloor SPC at 0.5 mm passes; their 0.3 mm LVT does not, so do not down-spec.
