When sourcing commercial flooring from Vietnam, logistics can be just as critical as fiber specification. For our fire-resistant PP/Nylon loop pile carpet tiles—backed with PVC and engineered for heavy contract use—we’ve optimized our export routing around two key gateways: Phu My Port and Cat Lai Port in Ho Chi Minh City.
Phu My: Our Default Choice
Located in the Cai Mep–Thi Vai deep-water port cluster (Ba Ria–Vung Tau province), Phu My handles some of Vietnam’s largest container vessels. For Full Container Load (FCL) shipments of carpet tiles, this is our primary loading point. Advantages include:
- Direct deep-sea services to the US West Coast, North Europe, and India without transshipment at Singapore or Tanjung Pelepas.
- Lower congestion compared to inner-city terminals, which means fewer truck delays from our Binh Duong factories.
- Efficient stuffing: The port’s modern container yards allow better handling of high-density flooring products.
Cat Lai: The Urban Alternative
Situated within Ho Chi Minh City proper, Cat Lai Port (Port Code: VNCLI) remains vital for Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments or when a customer’s nominated forwarder requires ICD clearance inside the city. While trucking to Cat Lai is faster for local deliveries, ocean carriers often route through feeder services, adding 2–4 days to transit times for long-haul destinations.
What This Means for Your Order
Whether we dispatch via Phu My or Cat Lai, your fire-resistant carpet tiles benefit from:
- Stable transit schedules: Typically 18–25 days to Long Beach; 28–35 days to Hamburg.
- Cost efficiency: Consolidating LCL cargo at Cat Lai or utilizing FCL direct sailings at Phu My keeps freight competitive.
- Compliance readiness: Both ports support documentation for Cfl-s1 fire ratings and antibacterial certifications required by EU and North American markets.
By aligning production lead times with the right port choice, we ensure that safety-compliant flooring arrives exactly when your project needs it—without unnecessary demurrage or detention fees.
