Kingston BPO halls run 800–1,200 seats, chairs on 24/7 rotation, night-shift AC cycling 18–32 °C, and snack/drink spills every shift. Carpet tile is correct — but the fiber choice decides the 5-year cost.
Procurement spec we defend:
- Solution-dyed nylon 6/6.6, level loop, 28–36 oz, PVC backing, 50×50
- Castor chair test EN 985 / equivalent — PP fails at 6–9 months, SD nylon runs 36–60 months
- Attic stock: 5 % same-dye-lot tile held in Kingston warehouse, not in China
Lifecycle math:
- PP tile: USD 3.2/m², replace 55 % by month 18 → effective 5-yr cost ~USD 7.1/m²
- SD nylon tile (tefloor TX-N series): USD 5.8/m², replace 12 % → 5-yr ~USD 6.6/m² and quieter
Corridors behind seats → SPC 5 mm click for fast mop cleanup. Don’t glue broadloom anywhere in a BPO — a coffee flood becomes a 200-seat outage.
